What The Brains Is a Primary Source?!

Primary sources are typically first-hand sources that allow you to get as close to the evidence as possible. Letters and artifacts can be examples of these.

Secondary sources typically summarize primary sources. Academic articles that analyze a primary source can be an example of these.

Tertiary sources typically synthesize information from a variety of sources, both primary and secondary. A history textbook can be an example of these.
